The Mary Cairncross Rainforest Loop is a spectacular, fully accessible 1.7km track that immerses you in 55 hectares of remnant subtropical rainforest. Taking roughly an hour at a leisurely pace, this flat, well-graded trail winds past ancient strangler figs, giant stinging trees, and majestic piccabeen palms. As you wander along the timber boardwalks and dirt paths, listen for the iconic crack of the Eastern Whipbird and keep an eye out for colourful Wompoo Fruit-Doves in the canopy. Complete your visit with a trip to the interactive Rainforest Discovery Centre or a coffee at the Mountain View Café, where you can enjoy breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Glass House Mountains.
